Accessibility

“As a federally funded center for independent living, the Center for Accessible Living provides the five core independent living services of information and referral, independent living skills training, peer support, advocacy, and transition.”

The digital inclusion initiative includes Internet Signups and Skills, Computer Refurbishment, Job Seeker online access, digital literacy training, and ConnectHomeUSA, which works to provide broadcast access to HUD-assisted residents.


Resources for elders

The AOD office has a monthly newsletter and a 72-page resource guide for the aging and disabled in Louisville. Visit the Office for Aging & Disabled Citizens website for their online services and a list of their community partners.

The Senior Nutrition Program provides nutritional lunchtime meals to active senior citizens at Congregate Meal Sites and delivers to homebound seniors through the Meals on Wheels Program, throughout the Louisville Metro area.

Louisville has two Social Security offices, one on Broadway downtown and one on Timberwood Circle in Middletown. Some tasks can be completed online on their new website.

Zoom Group administers a variety of programs for people with disabilities in Louisville, Ky. These include Zoom Works, Zoom Studio, Zoom Ride, and a collaboration with UPS.
